The requirement was multifaceted from gym to cafeteria to recreational area, lift lobby wall, electrical rooms & store rooms

Solution:

The client selected 6.5mm Impact Sports Flooring for the gym & recreational area. Sports Floors are highly durable and perfectly finished and suited for facilities that can match sports performance with optimal safety and comfort.They come with the confluence of a reduced carbon footprint and high resistance to traffic for the varying needs of different sports. They offer the right balance of safety, comfort, performance and aesthetic pleasure. Engineered Wood Merbau 3 Strips & Oak Finale 3 Strips flooring were chosen for the cafeteria & lobby wall vertical installation. Engineered wood floors all the traditional aesthetics of solid hardwood, with an innovation of design that makes it even more versatile! Comprising several layers, the top layer being a species of real hardwood, engineered hardwood flooring is a robust flooring option that allows you to install your chosen color, cut, finish and surface texture in areas where solid hardwood is not recommended. The core layer of engineered hardwood is made up of pine and spruce woods, which allows the engineered flooring to expand and contract with changing temperature and moisture levels without affecting your floor, the way a solid hardwood floor would be affected. Available in colors ranging from dark chocolate brown color and walnut, the product allows easy maintenance and is ideally suited for a house and office. Vinyl Eclipse Premium 966 Lt Warm Grey & Meteor 55 Rock Mineral Grey were chosen for the electrical & store rooms respectively. Eclipse premium is a compact homogeneous vinyl flooring, with classic non-directional design & can be used in premises such as healthcare facilities and other public buildings. It needs no additional surface treatment such as polish or wax when exposed to normal wear and tear. It has PUR reinforced -easy low-cost maintenance and comes with Class T abrasion class. Meteor 55 is ideal for light to moderate traffic in areas such as Housing and Aged Care environments and is PUR surface treated for excellent resistance to indentation, abrasion, scuffing, scratches and stains. It comes in 26 colour palette and is available in 0.5mm and 0.7mm thickness options, providing an elegant ambiance for enhanced well being. This project was completed in Sept 2019.
