The Project
Max Super Specialty Hospital, Mohali is a multidisciplinary healthcare facility designed to support a wide range of medical and critical-care requirements. With specialised areas including modular operation theatres, ICUs and other advanced clinical facilities, the hospital operates in an environment where performance, hygiene and reliability are essential.
With a high volume of daily movement across clinical and specialised spaces, the flooring needed to do more than complement the interiors. It had to meet the functional demands of a modern healthcare environment while providing a durable and dependable surface for everyday hospital operations.
The Requirement
Healthcare flooring needs to meet demanding standards of hygiene, durability and maintenance while being suited to specialised areas where static control can also be important. Continuous foot traffic, medical equipment, cleaning protocols and day-to-day hospital activity all place specific demands on the floor. The requirement was therefore for a flooring solution that could provide long-term performance across demanding healthcare spaces, while remaining practical to maintain and suited to the specific needs of the facility.
The Solution
Squarefoot supplied and installed 1,185 sq. mt. of Tarkett vinyl flooring, using iQ Toro SC and iQ Granit SD for the project.
iQ Toro SC is a permanently static-conductive homogeneous vinyl flooring designed for specialised healthcare environments such as operating theatres, clean rooms, laboratories and X-ray rooms. iQ Granit SD provides permanently static-dissipative performance for heavy-traffic and ESD-sensitive areas, while also offering the durability and maintainability required in demanding hospital environments.
Together, the two flooring solutions provide a combination of durability, static control and ease of maintenance, making them well suited to the varied functional requirements of a modern hospital.
The Result
The completed installation delivers a flooring solution designed around the demands of healthcare — combining performance with practical maintenance across 1,185 sq. mt. of hospital space.
